SONNY SANGHA (President)
Founder of ICE Development in 2004, Sonny holds a Business Administration diploma from Kwantlen College, and a Computer Science Technology diploma from BCIT. Prior to establishing ICE Development, Sonny worked as a Project Manager for an IT company, managing and supervising a team of 8-10 program managers, who developed and implemented new products and improved on existing ones. With ICE Sonny started with residential construction, but soon found his niche in commercial development.
Sonny has managed projects in Saskatchewan and British Columbia, ranging from townhouses to national flagship hotels, tenant improvement to mixed use residential/commercial buildings. He prides himself on providing value engineering solutions to meet clients needs.
His hands on management style helps him problem solve in a timely and cost effective manner. Sonny believes in long term relationship building, his motto being “anyone can build a building, I build relationships by providing superior customer service”.
Sonny resides in Abbotsford with his wife of 10 years and two beautiful daughters, he is an avid golfer and hockey player.
MANJIT S. SOHI (Vice President)
Manjit joined ICE Development in 2016, bringing with him a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. He also holds a Certificate in Building Technology from BCIT and Certificate in Local Government Administration from Capilano College. Added to these credentials, Manjit holds a Designation of Registered Building Official, Canadian Registered Building Official.
Manjit is currently President of Building Officials Association of B.C., Vice President of Alliance of Canadian Building Officials. He was an active member of the Provincial Building and Safety Standards Branch Modernization Advisory Group which helped draft the New Building Act.
Manjit has over 27 years experience in construction and construction regulations. Before joining ICE Development he managed various municipal building departments with staffs up to 18 members. His scopes ranged from single family dwellings to 16 storey high rise developments, to administering the Building Code for Abbotsford Regional Hospital along with other Municipal and Provincial regulations. Manjit’s attention to detail combined with an acute sense of customer service, enables him to serve clients with a level of service that is second to none. A broad range of construction industry experience during his Municipal tenure, and his communication style, allow Manjit seamless connection between customer and building professional.
In his spare time Manjit loves coaching soccer, helping run a soccer club in Abbotsford where he lives with his wife of 28 years and 3 sons.
DAVID WILEMAN (Director of Operations)
Dave joined ICE Development in April 2010, holding a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Construction Management from South Bank University, London, UK and a diploma in Building Science from Oxford College, Oxford UK. He brings more than 30 years construction experience to the table having managed projects up to $400 million in value, consisting of a five stage Coca Cola factory.
Dave has also worked as Site Supervisor for projects such as the $160 million, 180 bedroom home for the Sultan of Brunei, A house for the Prince and Princess of Saudi Arabia, an addition to National Portrait Gallery of London, and a house for the CEO for the Bank of Turkey. He also managed construction for the X-ray and Dentistry Department of the new Wembley Hospital, Installed the biggest escalator in London, and the Blue Water Shopping Center Kent, England. Upon emigrating to Canada, Dave turned right to construction as a commercial and residential HVAC contractor and installer.
His experience includes material take offs, subcontractor selection, and site supervision. Dave’s clients describe him as very personable, experienced, team player, methodical and visionary, with a hands on approach that allows him to serve client needs. His personal philosophy is “ there is nothing too small for him to do for his clients”. Experience from large projects to small renovations allows Dave to effectively manage resources.
Dave treats every project as if it were his money being spent, built to his standards, to ensure client satisfaction. He is married, living with his family in the Lower Mainland, in his spare time Dave enjoys golf, camping, soccer and the occasional European craft beer.
GLENN C. OLINEK (Director of Construction)
Glenn joined ICE Development in May 2016, He has received degrees in Construction Management from Douglas College, Real Estate Sales Certificate from UBC, and completed 2 years of CMA/CGA Accounting program. With over 30 years construction experience working on civil construction, building construction, and land development.
Glenn’s projects include CP Rail and Coquihalla Bridges, a 25 acre design build Industrial Park, tilt up bridges, restaurant chains such as Boston Pizza and Red Robin, Financial Institutions TD Canada Trust, Scotia Bank, BMO, and BC Liquor Stores, and many other national/international retail chains. His understanding of the intricacy of construction, attention to detail, and keen sense of customer needs have won him accolades from his clients.
Glenn has the ability to pay attention to minute details of the task at hand, while keeping his eyes on the final goal. His interpersonal skills have allowed him effective communication with design professionals, city officials, sub trades and clients, to achieve practical and common sense solutions to difficult complex problems. Glenn is always willing to go that extra mile to help resolve issues for his clients.
Glenn lives in the Lower Mainland with his wife of 40 years, he has 4 grown children. In his spare time Glenn enjoys golf, water skiing, and spending time at his cabin.
